Solar Water Heating
                            Heliocol
Solar Swimming Pool HeatingHeliocol Solar Pool Heating System

Pool heating technology requires that large amounts of water (thousands of gallons) be heated to more moderate, comfortable temperatures which are typically lower than bathing requirements. Thus, this technology is designed to circulate high volumes of water slowly & repeatedly through polypropylene collectors. Since high temperatures are not desired, glass and copper are not needed to over heat the water.

At Heliocol we not only supply pool heating solutions for the Olympic Pools, we are leaders in home use as well! Our custom solar pool heating systems are great for all pool types (residential or commercial).

 How does Heliocol Work?

A) Using your existing pool pump, pool water is directed through an automatic diversion  valve to your solar collectors.

B) Pool water enters the solar collectors at the bottom and rises to the top through the individual tubes of the collector.

C) As the water rises through the collector it is heated by the sun's radiant energy.

The swimming pool water is then returned to your pool to repeat the cycle until your pool is warm.

 D) Heliocol solar panels can be installed utilizing our sturdy all metal ground mount rack systems pictured below

Active Closed Loop Solar Water Heaters

Sometimes also called Domestic Hot Water (DHW), collectors designed for solar water heating are made of glass, copper and insulation. They are designed to heat relatively small amounts of water (40 to 80 gallons in a home) quickly, to high temperatures suitable for bathing, laundry and dish-washing. Just as with an electric water heater, most solar water heaters require a circulating motor and a storage tank.

Solarhart Water Heating

The Solahart J Free Heat and J Series are ideal where there are medium to high levels of solar radiation.

The high efficiency black polyester powder coated absorber maximises the transfer of available solar energy while the closed circuit design makes it suitable for frost prone and poor water quality areas. The J Series utilises Solahart's revolutionary multi-flow collector panel which uses a huge 35 risers to extract the maximum amount of energy from the sun.

The double ceramic lined tank has been developed for long life and the J Free Heat features additional protection for longer lasting performance. The tank can be equipped with an electric or gas booster or, alternatively, an in line gas booster is available.
